University Students

The KU Natural History Museum invites university students and faculty to explore the museum though events [2], scavenger hunts and other museum guides (see Checklists and Science Scoops below), and exhibits [3]. Groups also may reserve the Panorama Gallery [4] for university events.

Science Scoops - Your Natural History - Sexy Science

Students can join the KU Natural History Museum Student Board [5] and enjoy free complimentary museum membership [6].

Students in many areas of study use the exhibits in conjunction with their classes. Past uses of the exhibits include:

Art students who sketch specimens in the galleries
Dance students who use the galleries as a practice venue
Geology students who explore minerals, fossils and the history of tar pits
Western civilization students who learn about Charles Darwin
Biology students who learn about leading discoveries in evolutionary science
